I'd take a early 90's Notch in a heartbeat

Just not a fan. Anything from 73-2001 I would not want. Though, I can almost stand the late 90s stangs. Almost.

Even the Angels from the old Charlies Angels tv show couldn't make that car hot.

I'm only kidding. I was just wondering what Ford was thinking when they made these deformities.

Cost savings since Pinto and Mustang II were basically the same frame with a different body. I also believe the motors were very similar.

Gas savings. This was the mid/late 70's after all three U.S. manufacturers saw a huge drop in sales for domestics follwing increased gas prices and imports like Nissan and Honda grab a huge piece of the pie for fuel economy.

Kind of like what happened with the Domestic SUV market a few years ago.

these are a few of my friends' Fox bodies.
they are real clean, and turn heads when they roll thru.

this is probobly easily less than $10k build. and sounds like what a Mustang is supposed to sound like.
Craig's 331 Stroker, college car

i used to have a 77 mustang with a rebult 302, and it didnt even come close to 200 hp
i also had a 92 LX Fox and that was at least 10x better all around.

if you are looking for cheap power. the Fox body is hard to beat.

I believe so...I got both a 74 mustang II and a 83 fox body...I like them equally but if I had to choose it would be the fox body.

Sorry guys, but this car is sexy. *no sarcasm*
And the black and gold version is even sexier.

13 inch wheels are not sexy, they are small.
those Cobra's are nothing but a Mustang II with stripes and a chin spoiler.
and those 1/4 window louvers are ridiculous.

i drove a 77 bc it was all i had. i loved it at the time.
but when the tranny gave out, i got rid of it bc it wasn't worth saving.
out of all the mustang generations, the Mustang II is the red headed step child.

the Mustang II nearly killed the Mustang in terms of performance buyers.
the Fox brought the Mustang back to life. it made the Mustang a player again in the pony wars.
we should all recognize and bow down to the Fox body.
bc without the Fox, we would all be driving under powered girl-Mustangs.
