Lol, the guys (not all, of course) in the FOX section think that the S197 is cr@p and their owners are not Mustang guys.
That's why I'll accept the fox bashing right now...

The Mustang II was the right car at the time.Ford sold a bunch of them.Just think if there was no Mustang II there may not be a Mustang today.

No, they're saying that WE (the S197 crowd), are not Mustang guys, lol.
I believe that the new edge guys say that as well.

On the other end, some S197 owners are convinced that their car is the best thing since sliced bread and they conduct themselves like complete douches towards all other generations.

Nothing new though, every new generation cars will be perceived as the best or worse depending on the crowd's age.

He's saying the Fox body crowd (many of) think we're not really mustang guys due to only jumping on board with the S197 generation.

Which might very well be true at least for myself, from 74' onwards to the new edges, you'd have to force me into it. I can respect the frame's and what many can and have done with 'em, but ya, fugly to me. If I could get a steal on a new edge cobra, that I'd do with a quickness, but fox body's...not so much.

Respect, yes, want, no.

Which is most of the reason I think. Since the S197 has the largest slice of drivers now we have the largest douche populace as well. So this tends to cheese more than a few off.

I disagree with your opinion on that one.
Furthermore... I to think you may have been high while making that comment lol.

I don't know about that....I had a 1982 Mustang GT 5.0, black on black with T-Tops and I got all kinds of compliments with it. I sold it back in 2004 to a car collector. It was in immaculate condition.
My Mother had a 1978 Mustang V8 and it was BLAH to me.
