Talking Modding your cars a crime?

Can you imagine in a dim dark future that it would be a crime to mod your cars. Half the people on this forum would die.

no my son, those who came up with the laws will die., and this is happening sooner then you think, with obama and the EPA at the helm.

yep, sooner or later any engine that has more than 4 cylinders will be banned.

I dont believe that, that will not happen any time soon at all, even if the law was made, it wouldn't get passed, too many people love modding their cars

If that were to happen these big shots wouldn't have their big fancy cars like the Tahoes, Hummers, Limos and more. They like their cushy rides too much to do that to themselves.

If you live in california it's already true. Then you have states like michigan that don't even have inspections so I think you are going to be safe for quite awhile.

There won't ever be laws, there will just be economic incentives or disincentives so high that it makes it unfeasible to drive cars with massive displacement engines. There are already stricter MPG guidelines cars have to follow over time.

Of course modding won't ever be banned but restrictions will come along in order to abide by and avoid massive gas guzzling taxes or emissions regulation etc.
