Default TC off AND Adv. Trac off...

Was reading about the way to turn off Adv Trac and not just TC...Will this in anyway improve my cars performance? Example; Im aggresively launching first, snag second and my car starts to spin the tires and kicks out... this perhaps may be a not so smart question.. whatever.. hahaha... just came across this little trick to turn of Advanced Traction/stability control function off.. just looking into it..

i think your problem is more your tires and getting traction to the ground.

better tires and some LCA will help with the wheel spin.

what tires do you have now?

Turning things off and not having good traction could mean easier lose of control....be gentle until you know how it acts.

Yes, tires will also help.

Not super-familiar with the newer addition of advance trac. I didn't know the 2010's had it..Hadda go look this up myself as to how to temporarily disable just out of curiosity.

Other than say on a track race or looking to intentionally drift out of/into turns I can't see how disabling it would really help anyone except ER doctors. I could see doing this along with killing the TCS in conjunction if you're looking to spin out in a lot and letting it go a bit sideways first, but other than that, or being S/C (if it's killing the fuel supply like it does for the standard TCS)..

The pressing and holding the TC button while stopped will totally shut down the TC. The car has all of its power avail in that off mode. You dont have the computer pull timing etc. The only reason I would want it on is if its raining. Otherwise the car was meant to be driven hard, and having it in any of the modes other than Totally Off will cut some of the performance of the car.

Nothing like dropping it down a few gears to pass someone for it to bog down due to the computer saying hey we are going to only give u a little bit of power and slowly give it to you all.
