Default intake and tune redline setting?

i've had my intake and tune installed for about 2 weeks now and i love it. the gains are very noticeable. i'm very happy with the results, and my car seems much more competitive. well here is my only concern with the tune. redline was increased which is very cool, but i thought it would've had a cut off at like 6500, well i haven't reached a cutoff. i took it up a little past 6750 last night in 2nd gear when entering the freeway. i'm kind of worried because it doesn't seem like i have a rev shutoff point. i know stock shutoff was 6250. is this anything i need to worry about? if not and if the car can rev that high without any problems than cool.

Which company's tune did you get. You should check with them. You should be able to adjust certain parameters in your tune, and the rev limiter is one of them. When I ordered my tune I requested a 6500 limit, same as the Bullett and 2010 GT. I wouldn't go much beyond that. Some of the tuners set it as high as 6700.

If you have the SCT tuner you can go right in and change both your idle rev limiter and your normal rev limiter. It takes all but 5 minutes. I have mine set at 6125.

yeah i think mine must've been set for 6800. i went ahead and switched over from the 93 tune to 87 yesterday and it seemed like the redline was around 65-6600 which is fine. i'm happy with whatever, im just glad its not 108-110 degrees during the day now. i'll be able to get a better feel for how the car performs now that temps have dropped to around 60 degrees at night.
