Default Wheel bearing R&R, need help.

2007 Mustang v6 with the pony package.

First off, the hub that came off the car was non abs style. The one I got in the mail looks to be abs, it has the cogs on it. The description of the two different hubs shows that the non abs hub is smaller inside. I decided to try the ABS hub anyways and it slid on the spindle perfectly tight. Should I just run the ABS hub?

Second thing confusing me is this giant spindle nut listed everywhere as a replacement, really? I noticed the ends are crimped to keep it from backing off but looks alot different than what I am used to with cotter pins and what not.

How do I pre load this bearing, this car has me confused.

cotter pin is old school. The spindle nuts are one-time use because they are crimped at the top slightly. After you have tightenend them once, when you back them off the heating/cooling cycles weakens the metal to where it may not allow the nut to hold it's TQ once installed.

P.S. You are replacing a Hub w/bearing, not the bearing. The Bearing is pressed into the hub. When I read your title I thought you were press-fitting the new bearing into your existing hub.
