Default Gas peddle lower than I would like

Hi. I have a brand new 2012 Mustang Premium and find the gas peddle a hair too low. Anyway to raise it easily? Can the dealer do? Thanks.

I would assume the OP is referring to the discrepancy in height between the gas pedal and the brake pedal. It would be ideal if the gas and brake pedal were of equal height to allow for heal-toe double-clutch downshifts. Pedals are commonly offset like this to prevent accidental acceleration when going for the brake pedal (see the fake Audi crisis of ~1990). I don't know of any way to adjust this, but wanted to try to clear that up...

Thanks to all that replied with helpful advice. It's really no big deal, I have since gotten used to the pedal (and I really do know how to spell "pedal" otherwise my parents wasted a lot of money sending me to college - sometimes my fingers work faster than my brain.)

An aluminum billet spacer behind the gas pedal assembly would do the trick...

This is what I said in the other thread in another forum you created about this, OP.

FWIW, I find the brake and gas to be just about perfect for heel-and-toeing. When the brake is depressed, it is just about level with the gas pedal.

I got a set from Performance Pedals.

When I mounted the gas pedal, I used longer screws and put a washer behind. Seems to have raised it just enough for my taste.
