Default mil eliminators

I have been running a off-road h pipe for awhile with mil eliminators on the rear o2 sensors to keep the check engine light off. I recently ordered a sct tuner from Brenspeed and I am waiting for it to be delivered. It is coming with a off-road tune so I will no longer need the mil eliminators on the o2 sensors. My question is do I need to remove them before loading the tune? I also have a cold air intake on the car with the restrictor in the intake tube and I am looking forward to taking that out also. Curious to see the difference in performance with the correct tune.

I never have run without rear O2 sensors since my area requires emissions testing.
I am not sure if they will be okay left in, but others have gone off road tune actually too them off and plugged in the O2 sensor bungs. You could do the same if you wanted to, you just have to get the plugs for the rear O2 sensor deletes.

I was told that no matter if the rear 02's are on or off, they still need to be plugged in cause the computer actually still sends a signal to them and if they arent there it'll throw the computer off.. Just remove the mil eliminators and keep the 02 sensors plugged in

That is good to know. I never thought of that.

But for guys who get aftermarket off road headers, how do they address such a stray signal to the O2 sensors if they have been completely deleted?
I am not turning my car into track only, I am just curious.

Thanks for the advice. I will take them out before I load the tune. I am just waiting until the tuner gets here. Curious to see the difference in the way the car runs, I have been running no tune with a cold air-headers-off road-and flowmasters for 4 years now and probably have been lucky I haven't done any damage to the thing.
