Default Rear axle replacment

Hey all,
Been a while since Ive been on. As some of you may remember from other posts, I crashed my mustang 2 years ago and when ford replaced my rear axle, they put in a bent one, so now there is a constant loud squeak in the passenger side rear as well as fellow drivers informing me my wheel is "wobbling." I was going to get a rear from newtakeoff.com that was upgraded to the 8.8 rear, 4.10 gears, T-lok, and cobra flange. I am over the top tired of the squeak and was going to order the axle from NTO, Ive checked in for weeks now with none in stock so i finally emailed them. Their rep said they wont carry them anymore. Which was a shame cause it was only about 1000. i found on LKQ this...

http://www.lkqonline.com/custom/prod..._RAX&year=2005

Does anybody know if that will bolt up directly to my V6? not a lot of info is given. unfortunately the price is 500 more, so i really missed the boat on that one. anybody else maybe have any other suggestions?

Other than the cobra flange for the V6 driveshaft, any rear end for the S197 Mustang will bolt up directly. They all mount the same way.

Funny both of you posted at the same time!

Red Beast, I just got my 8.8 about a month ago and they are starting to get scarce. I actually got mine from a Mustang salvage yard out of a GT500.

How much did you pay for yours if you dont mind me asking?

Do you guys know any other places that has them for cheapish? NTO said the shipping would have only been 100 so that would have been roughly 1,100. But LKQ wants 125 for shipping, and then i need the flange separately. what i was hoping would be a $1,100 venture has turned into a $1,700. I found other websites that carry axles for cheaper but then only have about the 3.55 gears. Any other sites maybe for less? And do you guys know if that one from LKQ i first posted would include the T-lok?

could always be an option. would have to buy the cobra flange and 4.10 gears separately then if i went that route.

I would just get the cobra flange and just stick with the 3.73's in it already. There is not a huge difference between 4.10's and 3.73s plus the housing is assembled and ready to go from FORD so you dont have to deal with taking it apart or anything. Just add fluid and bolt right up

The fact its assembled by ford doesnt help lol. If they didnt F**K it up the first time i wouldn't be stuck in this. I took it back 4 times to them within the first year of the accident when the insurance would still cover it and explained it to them and everytime i got "O we dont hear anything." yet as i am driving in their salesman could hear me in the parking lot and describe it as me having "a bird stuck in my wheel" and other remarks. funny how EVERYONE else could hear it but not their repair shop... jackasses
