Dont know of any checkered flag pony for the grill but I modified my tower brace in the same fashion. I used regular pin stripe I bought at autozone and striped the bar, making sure the spacing was perfect. The whole procedure took a bit of figuring but I was finnaly able to accomplish my goal. I only used silver spraypaint, the black squares are the original color of the tower brace. I was thinking you could find a cheap grille pony somewhere and do the exact same thing. I was thinking get another chrome pony and just stripe and spray paint the black squares. Then you would have a chrome and black checkered pattern. I plan on doing this on a boring day.
