That's also an option for those with the base steering wheels and head units.
I'm planning to do the same thing. Did that guy configure the ACM? Or it will work with an aftermarket steering wheel harness like Scosche?
I've already replace my base steering wheel with GT500 and of course the volume/media controls are not working.

He didn't flash the ACM on mine, I'm not even sure if that's possible now that the head unit was replaced. He did mine using a PAC harness, its a new model, I don't remember the model number. I'm sure the other aftermarket ones work as well.

I did some research and you are right. It seems the ACM is part of the OEM HU so if I will change it with an aftermarket one I need only the PAC..

Thanks!

I have successfully re-loaded the ACM data from the Boss 302 in my base 2012 V6 and the audio controls now function just fine with the 18R leather wheel.
Thank you so much HoosierDaddy, you the man!

I just had the ACM data programmed on my car at Lenoir City Ford in East Tennessee. The guy does not want his info posted on the internet since he is doing this on his own. PM me for his contact information.

Also, if you have a base wheel and you do NOT want steering wheel controls for the audio system, you can get a 2010 GT500 steering wheel from American Muscle for $375 (after forum discount). That's about $50 cheaper than the Bullitt wheel that you have to get from Ford.
