New Plastidip discovery!!
Ok guys so I had a buddy who used plastidip on his rims. He had a little bit left over and gave it to me. Well I figured I would try to see if you can paint over plastidip. Well you can!! I had an extra faceplate on my xbox360 elite so I figured I would try it on that. This was about 4 hours later. It was a rush job so if theres any imperfections in the paint thats why.
Painted with red caliper paint (all I had lol) without any clear coat.

From what i can tell it does. But the problem is still there when you go to take the masking tape off and it wants to peel all the plastidip off. But that can be fixed by like I said in my first post, peeling the masking tape off quickly before it starts to dry. Or maybe someone else has a solution to that? And then if you wanted to paint over the pastidip just mask it off again.

Yeah I gotcha. I was actually thinking about clearing it on the black out panel I made for mine car but didn't really know if I should because many were saying the heat could make it burn the rubber. Still not sure about the heat making a difference because the XBox faceplate won't see the heat levels a car would.
