If this is Ford's last shot at a true retro Mustang, then they hit one out of the park!
There is something for everyone here, from a hot sixxer, a track inspired GT, semi-racer all the way up to a 650hp fire breathing monster!

Damn the 2014 redesign! These must be the best Mustangs yet!

Now if I can only persuade my wife to let me retire to Florida in a Shelby convertable!

The changes, albeit subtle, to the rear make it more attractive to me now... While I didn't mind the 2010-2012 rear, it was meh to me... it always felt incomplete to me.

Now the changes to the rear coupled with the more GT500-esque front and the functional hood heat extractors make me drool... speaking of GT500, I love the rear bumper and quad exhaust tip of that one...

I am definitely snagging one of these babies... Not job one since I will be in my final semester of completing my BSN degree, but there after.

Thanks Ford for making this a phenominal looking Mustang.

Don

Man I wanted that new SelectShift in my 2012. I love the back but hate the front. Either way, I will grab the rear fascia and tail lights from the aftermarket.

Yep and I can't wait. What I really want is that onboard CPU with the LCD. That's the biggest enhancement to the whole lineup

the new LCD cluster is damn sweet..I love the tails. they the ones from the GT350? I am not really digging the front..I love the front of the GT500 but on the GT with the little bit of change just doesnt do it I think..i think the 10-12 with the CS lower fascia looks better. I think maybe now I can think of trading for a 12 in the summer and add those tails.

Excuse me guys, um when did the 5.8 come out?
Or is this just a version of the 5.4 stroked?

It would be nice to have a big block 6.2 Raptor Stroked and Forced in a GT500

The old GT-500 could easily reach 200MPH with just a blower upgrade lol, definetly a whole new ball game here

Wow, this is a solid refresh!! Tons of cool stuff. The GT500 looks absolutely SICK.

Click the image to open in full size.

embedded because it's sexy. The V6 front looks fantastic as well, but the GT grille with fogs doesn't suit it well. Nothing to fear though, the aftermarket will provide us nice looking fog-less grilles

The rear is still fugly, but I do like those tail lights! They will look even better with the center clear portion tinted. I don't know what the whole black-plastic-around-license-plate thing is, but hopefully aftermarket will provide a good alternative. At least all the plastic trim from the 10-12 models have been painted.

The new options are ****ing spectacular.... including the new 5.8L. All this technology and power is just embarrassing for GM at this point lol. & The Challenger? LOLOL

I guess this is payback for what GM did to us in the 90's. Can't wait to watch the comparison tests on this one

Here's hoping that the tail-lights can be put into the 2010-2012 models. I'd love to put in the new dash setup but I have a feeling getting it to work with the older models will be a PITA.

DAMN! Nice Ford! They went and listened to the fans of this car! That's pretty cool. I wish they did that with the 05-09 cars, which stayed basically the same for 5 years.

Anyway, am I envious? Only because of the auto-manual function. I'd LOVE to have it...but then I feel like it'd be a novelty and I'd never use it after a while. There's many features of my current GT I hardly even use, like Sync or the Remote Start.

The rear end looks sweet, but tbh, it doesn't make me regret mine. I think both rear ends work well with me. In the case of the plastic rocker panels being painted with the body color...that's a good thing. For me though, the black plastic doesn't bother me....my GT is black so it really doesn't make a difference.

The LED screen is pretty cool. But again, nothing that I really NEED. Just something that's nice to look at.

The 8 hp bump too is very minor and barely worth mentioninig, but it's cool to see it evened out.

The front end is okay, but I prefer the 2012 front end, TBH. I don't like how every Mustang looks like a GT500 now.

I LOVE the new GT rims. They're sexy. I don't think anyone has commented on that yet. Also, the new optional seats sound pretty nice.

Overall, I'm happy with my 2012 and the changes made to the 13. However, besides the manu-matic, I'm not desperate for a new one.

Damn!! I'll take a GT500 vert in black and red. That car just defines "BAD ***" as well as expensive I'm sure. Wow.

One thing that's kind of disappointing is the hood. The 2010-2012 Mustang hood was the best one Ford has ever made IMO...and it still is. I think the design works well on the GT500 with the vents and lower front fascia, it looks good on the Boss too, but the GT looks like crap with the squeezed-in fog lights and the bulky looking fascia.

The gauges are incredible! Big improvement!! Paddle shifters would be nice. I "think" the rear-end looks better but it's difficult to tell from the pics. I'm actually not sure I like the painted rocker panels...it makes the car look kind of bulky on the sides. Overall it's a great car. I prefer the appearance of the previous GT's front end though.

So Ford released some "B-Roll" footage, think they look pretty good. Gives you a better idea of the car.

Even if the one for the GT is a bit funky...

it will be a pita, they said that they rounded off the rear end of the 2013, so fitting it to a earlier year will not look right. maybe we will see some modified ones for earlier years.

Hopefully Ford puts some rear tire on like a 305 or bigger!!

Damn! I know that some don't like the new front end, but I'm completely supportive of this exterior redesign. And I especially love the new taillights! They look like something that would be purchased in the aftermarket... And the LCD displays are magnificent. I don't know who said it first, but I'm also a big fan of those new wheels.

Way to go Ford!
