The big news for the 2013 Shelby GT500 is the new 5.8-liter supercharged V8. Nearly every part of the engine differs from the old 5.4-liter engine with new cross-drilled block and heads, updated camshaft profiles, a new TVS 2300 series supercharger and an upgraded cooling system. The result is 650 horsepower and 600 lb-ft torque, making the 5.8-liter V8 the most powerful production V8 engine in the world and allowing the GT500 capable of reaching 200 mph.
"She lets her knowledge out a bit at a time, so as not to embarrass me" Dr. Who
"Much more of a hoot to drive than you might imagine. Think of it if you like, as a librarian with a G-string under her tweed pants. I do, and it helps." Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear BBC
I like what they've done with the back end, even if I do like what I already have as it is.
- Track apps
- Body Matched moldings
- Gotta have it green
- HIDs standard
- manual-auto feature
*refreshes bank account repeatedly hoping i've somehow made more money*
Is Gotta have it green definitely a color choice? I as waiting for a green but did not see anything released tonight to suggest that. I remember that the special for the boss 302 about a year ago had a picture on the wall of the 2013 color's and green was one but that was still not definite yet. Any link to the Gotta have it green for 2013 from today? Thanks man.
Thinking to myself: "Damn, I should have waited a few more months." Oh well, I'm still happy with my current buy. Love how the front end on the 2013 looks...
