2013 GT 500

Good point. And I agree, the upper trim Vettes will still beat the '13 GT500 as a whole car, what I really meant is the 5.8L engine out does the Vette engines, and those displace 400cc and 1200cc more than the 5.8L GT500 engine.
And an additional slap to the face of Chevy pushrod engines: No gas guzzler tax according to 2013 standards!

Vettes weigh in around 3200lbs and that's a deficit hard to make up on a mustang. I watched the base vettes on street tires all summer long at the track and they were doing mid 12's and the Z06's were in the 11's. Fast cars but, priced way above the mustangs. i wonder if the new GT500 will hit the 11's with stock tires? We'll see.

On stock tires? We will see just how well that adjustable suspension works to make that happen. The ZL1 has rheostatic adjustable shocks that give it an advantage when it comes to traction. If the new GT500 shocks just as well or better, I can see them getting 11's on stock tires.

i have a friend with an 08 GT500 that he installed a pulley and a tune and he was running a best of 11.52 ET. The older GT500 with 500hp are fast....now imagine a "13" with 650hp. It's probably ridiculous....picture a pully and a tune? FTW

Any idea how much the MSRP is going to be? I mean I'm assuming it will go up from what it is now. Doing the numbers in my head, with a deployment I could actually afford one as long as they don't have too much dealer markup.
