Thanks for all the replys!
I am driving a chrysler town&country right now till i get my GT, so trust me when i say, the V8 power of the GT will be far faster then the minivan!
im 21 btw, (Just turned)
i figure ill do all my mods, short throw, driveshaft, suspension, Then go FI.
It seems like i shouldnt have too much to worry about, just keep an extra belt in the car

My Roush is my daily driver - two hours of commuting each day on the streets and freeways of LA. 48,000 miles on my engine and blower since new (factory installed on Roush 427Rs). No problems on the blower itself, but the tensioner pulley went bad at 20,000.
Not that it matters, but you should be aware that your mileage will suffer by a lot or a little, depending on your driving style. Be ready for it. Also, premium fuel only. My average mileage is about 15.5 (a lot of street driving). Best I ever got on a highway was 21.5. Keep in mind, this is on crappy California fuel.
Don't wait for anything - just go ahead and put it on. Treat the car with respect, and it will be good to you.

i dont plan on drivingit crazy. Just the occasional pull on the silly cars that pull up next to me.
Im a mechanic so i will be doing the install and all followup work such as the oil changes. will be using synthetic every 4k
I will probably drive it pretty hard the first few thousand miles lol but who could help that?

After a few hard pulls, you'll get used to the blower. Just be careful blipping the throttle going into corners... the rear will kick out pretty quickly.
Have fun!
And - just my personal opinion here - you can run synthetic to 7,500 miles, no problem. Varying opinions on this, but that is my two cents.

to OP: definitely get boost, it makes it 10x more fun. Not only just slingshot acceleration, but also when you want to whip it around a corner in 1st or 2nd, you can spin the back tires and go sideways
edit: my car before this had 161hp v6 and before that was 290hp V8 in luxury sedan (heavy) but still fun. I was 16-17 with the V8.
