Default gear whine?

started this weekend sounds like turning an electric motor by hand, seems to get louder as i come to a stop. I am starting to hear it at low speeds also. could this be the rear end.

Sounds like it could be. When my car was stock it had a little whine, I always thought it may be the fuel pump (motor sound) not knowing any better at the time. Have you checked for leaks at the pinion seal or rear cover?
