I got the Matte Gunmetal TSW Nurburgring Wheels for my 06 GT and I am wondering if i can fit the 305/45-18 tires on the rear wheels, which they are 18x9.5 is it possible????

Thanks!!

That's pushing it. A shop may not want mount them. But I may be wrong

Will it fit? Yes. Safely? Maybe not.

I have 295/45/18 on the rear on 18x10s. With the narrower rim, your sidewall will bulge out a little more. More importantly, it'll wear unevenly since the contact patch will "wrap up" towards the edges of your rims.

You can probably fit it, but your handling will be poor and it is a slight safety risk. Really I think a 10.5 inch rim would be best, but a 10 would work just fine too.

If you do, go with a nitto, as they tend to run smaller than other brands.

I have Toyo 295's on a 10" wheel and they don't bulge or 'wrap' any. I agree with the above, tho...305's are a tad big. I suggest looking for a 295.

If it's traction you're after, even a DR in 285 will handle a considerable amount of power.

285 is typically the max recommended for a 9.5" wheel. If you wreck, don't let the insurance company find out.
