Default Burn my clutch?

Hey guys im wounding if I burned my clutch alittle bit? I was on a incline around my area, cause a civc so happend to be in a tree and stop ongoing cars..now mind you I'm on a incline on a turn..So I go forward to turn around, then reverse then back into first, and then all the sudden I started to smell a burning wire smell? like, as if wires was burning?? It lasted for a minute or so ?? I smelled this smell a total of 3 times before, the car has 6k now so I'm wondering am I burning my clutch if I smell this type of smell? Are these new trannys durable? So If I did burn it alittle bit willl it do damage? do I have to worry and panic if I do it again? Thanks guys

+1^. There are inexperienced drivers that burn up their clutch a lot more than 3 times and it holds up. Just don't make a habit out of doing it because if you are smelling it you aren't using the clutch properly and will need a new clutch sooner.

dont worry too much about it... i mean you probably were burning it up, you want it either fully engaged (in gear) or not at all (neutral)... the in between is when you start burning her up. Dont try to do burnouts or drag racing clutch dumps and it should last longer

Yeah I was kinda wondering if that smell was the clutch, I do fully engage or natural but sometimes i do get caught in high Rpms with the clutch just about to be ingauged, but that's if I'm on a hill or quick situation, but this is my first manual car ANSI pretty much got it down, it's just certain situations..but how strong are these clutches? Also if i never smell the clutch that means im doing it fine correct ? Thank u guys for the feedback.
