I purchased my 2008 GT new in 2008 for $26,000 out-the-door with the x-plan (remember x-plan also gives you all the rebates and special financing rates that you qualify for).

My x-plan purchase included $4500 in rebates and also gave me special 1.9% financing on top of the x-plan price.

How is the price of a 2008 GT or a 2010 V6 relevant to the OP's purchase of a 2012 V6?

Op, you probably over paid a little bit, but without us knowing the options we have no way of knowing. However, like the others said it's already done with, so go enjoy your new car.

So he can compare the price range and the discount he should have gotten. Apparently, you're not even reading the thread thoroughly.

i just bought a 2012 mustang v6 with a manual transmission and was almost the base package. my mustang has the sport appearance package, the anti-theft package (i thought that was standard), and the reverse sensor package. i paid about $24,400 after taxes and stuff. that's because i talked them into selling it to me at invoice pricing since there were no rebates to help me out, and they wanted my trade-in (dayton, ohio got nailed by a massive hail storm so dealerships lost a lot of used stock, thus they really want trade-ins).

long story short: looks like i beat you by roughly a grand. given that you paid x-plan and didn't get invoice, i think you were about fine (give or take for your options). your local taxes, and all kinds of others stuff make me think that you did fine, and shouldn't worry about it. like everyone else here is saying, enjoy your purchase and don't sweat the small stuff.

It's your responsibility to ask for the numbers at x-plan pricing before agreeing to any deal, and knowing what the asking price is as well. And also knowing all the other numbers ahead of time including taxes and fees before signing the agreement.
If they refused to give you the details, that's bad, really bad.

What you should do, is know the x-plan price, and see if you can do better (I just did).

Enjoy your car!
