Default engine service at dealership

i'm heading back to school on saturday and the service engine soon light popped on on my way home today. i haven't had my engine serviced since before the tune and my warranty is pretty much up. do i need to worry about them resetting the tune when they check the engine out? should i tell them i have the tune? i want to make sure everything goes like it should just so my car is up and running properly. thanks

They might reflash the tune.
You're warranty is over, tell them NOT to mess with your tune.

Some stealers wouldn't care about the tune even under warranty. Some would.

If you have the handheld tuner, why not use it to figure out what the code is before taking it to the dealer? I am presuming that you the "service engine soon" is the same as a check engine light... You might discover it is something as simple as the gas cap not being tightened completely.

Well, if you have the ability to check the position sensor, wiring, and pcm for which part is the problem, then yes it can be easily fixed.....otherwise, leave it to a dealer or repair shop.

Plus......if you have warranty, why not use it......

alright cool. well i have no idea how to fix it lol and i don't want to attempt it and mess it up. the warranty is almost out i'm pretty sure, and i would tune my car back to stock to go to the dealer but my cai requires a tune, it stalled on me and my friend when we started the car up the first time after installing it before uploading the tune. what should i do?
