if you think the 2010 GT is better made than the 03-04 Cobras, think again.
give your new Mustang another 8-10 years and it will rattle too.
these Mustangs are made by Ford, not Mercedes Benz. the fit and finish is not the greatest.
and sooner or later the rattles will begin. i can almost guarantee it.
and the clutch is heavier bc it is cable not hydraulic like the S197.

now if this was a weekend fun car, the Terminator wins, hands down!
it is a better Mustang any way you look at it:
built motor
set up for FI, and easily upgradable
better clutch
T56 6 speed trans
IRS rear end
suspension
4V heads

if you find a good, low mileage, nearly stock Terminator, buy it.

2010 GT. You can always add a blower like an M90 and make it a striped @$$ ape later if you want, but then the free gas @ Dad's comes to a halt cuz you'll be in the premium conundrum.

Why not think about getting a 2011 V6? That can get by with regular I do believe and plus it has 300+ horsepower.

I did look at them and they are nice but after having my V6 I would rather move up to a gt. Even though they around the same horsepower.

terminator would be really fun but its 8-9+ years old and probably been beat on for 50-100k miles

id say keep your car and save a bit until 2011 gt's are affordable for you

9 years old, 42k miles, and stock. that is a really nice looking Terminator!
If I were you, I would check it out. most definately.
a stock, well taken care of Terminator is hard to find, and well worth $20k.
If anything you could drive it for a while and re sell it.
you could DD it, no problem. a friend of mine DD his Terminator, and races his Fox body.
think of it as an older version GT500, sort of. capable of the same HP, and it sounds better IMO.

good 2010 GT's are a dime a dozen.
a nice, stock, excellent condition, low mileage Terminator is very hard to find.
if i didn't already have my 07, I would be all over this Cobra!!!

http://www.hawaiiperformancemustangs...c,26183.0.html

here is a local 04 Cobra for sale in my neighborhood.
only 20k miles, asking price is more bc its in Hawaii. everything costs more here.
but I saw this in person, and its like new. very well kept.
If i was in the market and i could talk him down a bit, i would buy it!

but i also know the importance of a DD.
I DD my 2000 and the 07 is for the weekend.
my 2000 interior is very similar to the Cobra, althought the Cobra's looks much nicer.
and it is not too bad, comfort wise.
but my 2007 is more comfortable, definately.
but i'm not too dependent on comfort. i will sacrifice some comfort for performance at the drop of a dime.

what i'm trying to say is go take a look at the Cobra, at least.
you might fall in love with it. you never know.

there is a 2010 GT I was looking at and its at the same place as the cobra, so I guess I will have to make a trip to look at them both.
