There will always be someone out there FASTER and more HP then you! Bottom line. I was torn also with this same dilemma. Since there will ALWAYS be someone out there with MORE then you, Go with what body style you like the best. I love the looks of the 05-09. Ford got this right. (if only they fortified the bottom end). I opted for a blown 06 that has 431HP to the tires. Respectable HP, love this body style.

Just my opinion.

Sure he would..but I wouldn't blow my engine trying ...an 11 second neon will last no more than 2 years without wearing out

I came from a 4.0...so I'm still getting used to this thing

When I was looking into mustangs... I test drove a 2011 Mustang 5.0 with 6spd and leather and brembos. Gorgeous car, plenty of power, fit and finish was impeccable for a car of this price range.

Then I test drove the 08 GT 5spd that I ended up purchasing. I ended up with a great looking car, that has plenty of oomph, an interior that's plenty comfortable for commuting. Sure it has some squeaks and rattles and isn't the fastest ride on the block, but it suits me just fine and I saved 10 grand!

Plus you can now wait for the next generation of Stang, and see what direction they are taken in. Erik
