Unhappy Tranny issues

Hey guys! I'm a new kid to the fourm and a new mustang owner, and its only been 3 days that I've owned it and it's already in the shop ;( I noticed today when I put the car in reverse it slides foward, then clinks like a roller coaster a couple times grabs the gear and backs it up violently. I took it to the place I got it at and one of the techs said that its just tranny fluid thats doing it, I didnt say it but in my head I was completely calling BS on that. He then told me that scince the car has a jaguar style transmission that it has to be done at ford. So I just got back from the ford place, and was wondering what you all might think about it, and your input would be greatly appreciated! Also I do have a warranty on the drive train.

I'd return the vehicle...and get my money back!

PS. Unless Ford is prepared to fix it, i guess, but feel free to look around this forum. People with issues have not been very successful and getting it sorted out without TONS of drama. Ford is basically not accepting responsibly for the tranny issues.

Damn, sounds like Dodge's issues have rubbed off on your car.

Is your car an auto or manual?
How many miles was on the car when you purchased it?
I believe in most states you have 30 days to return the car for your money back.....just saying. You may have inherited someone else's headache.

Sorry I didnt get back to you guys sooner, But with school I just havent had time. And the ford tech called me today and said it was a bad silinoid*(pretty sure that isnt how you spell it) and I should have the car back by the begining of next week. As far as information on the car it has roughly 70k miles and is and automatic, also I think its only 3 days on big investments not 30 I'm not sure about that tho.

Good luck dude. Somebody traded that car in because it has tranny issues. Get a new one or give it back if possible.

Thanks for the spelling issue help, I'm not the best speller, and also I just got the car back today which was a plesant supprise! The car actually shifts better then ever and is very smooth when going from park, to reverse, to drive, and from drive to reverse so knock on wood it seems like I might be getting lucky!
