Stock '11 Wheels and Tires
Howdy all, I just made a fantastic purchase today that i've been waiting to do for awhile now...

I think they will look fantastic, nearly completing the look I want for my car. My question though, What do you think the stock V6 wheels/tires are worth? The wheels have 0 blemishes or scratches and are well taken car of, and the tires have roughly 80% tread left. I can't seem to find anything on my local craigslist that I could even refer a price to.
Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I wont have these on much longer and dont want them sitting around the house! Thanks in advance all.

You can probably get a little more for the GT brembos, but I wouldn't plan on much more than 800. I've heard one guy ended up having to go as low as 650. On the V6 wheels, Im thinking you're looking at 400 to 500 top end.
You're faced with 2 problems in selling wheels. The first is to ship or not to. Shipping is expensive and in asking the buyer to cover 100% of that cost, you're potentially eliminating a large part of the market. The only way to cover that cost is to lower what you can get for the wheels. The second is over time, your competition for your wheels will increase as the supply of the wheels increases, therefore lowering the value of your setup.
As an example, I've been looking for wheels for some time. Problem is the ones I want are all seemingly on the East coast somewhere. So by the time they are shipped, I am literally paying as much if not more for a used set of Ford wheels and used tires then I could for a brand new set of aftermarket wheels from AM or LMR. Logically, it makes no sense for me to buy used when I could have brand new and still have more money in my pocket.
I think the only way to get around this as a seller is to realize that it's a business proposition. If you decide to sell, do not have an emotional attachment and not look to completely recover your investment in your new setup. You're selling used wheels and tires and asking someone to have faith that you didnt abuse the tires, they only have x miles on them, etc.. etc... etc... How much is the space you are losing storing the old worth to you over time and how long are you willing to hang onto them while their value continues to decrease? If you put them in a storage unit for example, why not measure how much space they will consume, figure out your monthly cost, then figure out over time how much that literally costs you out of pocket.
When the time comes that I do replace my wheels (I have 6!) I'll sell the worst 2 wheels for a song and keep the best 4 for winter. They are fan blades from my 06 because I hated the stock painted aluminum 5 spokes that came on my 10. I literally made the dealer put new skins on my fan blades + TPMS sensors and mount them on mine to close the deal at no cost to me.
