Default Airaid CAI (05-09 GT)

Can anyone give a review or some knowledge base on this? I know it's new to american muscle ( http://www.americanmuscle.com/airaid...ai-0509gt.html ) so they don't really have any reviews on it.

My other choice was the C&L Racing CAI so if anyone can vouche for this I would appreciate any input there as well.

I'll be buying a SF3 Tuner with which ever one I decide to go with.

Thanks in advance!

I installed the airaid CAI on my dads 08 GT/CS. i got it for $100. thats why we went the airaid.
it installed perfect, very easy. took about 1/2 hour.
we ran it for a year without a tune and the restrictor in place, then got a tune, but still had to leave the restrictor in bc when i took it out it ran like crap.
but it is a good CAI.

I like the C&L better. for looks and it gets the best HP/TQ, better than the airaid.
If i were you I would get the C&L.

I have an airaid, I like it. I ran the stock tune with the restrictor in place while I was in Europe then just got it tuned here without it. It is just as good as any other CAI but with the restrictor you can run the stock tune.

A CAI without a tune is just for looks. You'll barely gain more than 4-6 RWHP. Toss a good custom tune on with a tune-required CAI and you'll gain 20-25 RWHP.

Agreed, but I did mention that I would be getting a tune no matter which I decided to go with .
