Default What to do......

I dont know if anyone else is plagued by this problem but I feel like I can never make up my mind as to what I want to mod next.... Im going to do some mods in the spring, but of course I figure out what I want to do and then change it two weeks later...

I plan to do long tubes and cams, but I cant do both at the same time. Ill probably do one this year and then one next year. I already know what I want so its not a question of what product but, which should I do first? Anyone have any opinions on this?

The cams will be FRPP hot rod cams, and the headers will be kooks with a catted h pipe.

I also have SLPs on there and Im starting to not like the sound. Im sure with the cams and longtubes it will become incredibly loud. I was thinking about doing a welding in some mufflers but I dont know much about them. Can anyone shed some light as to pros and cons of something like this? Are they worth the money or am I just going to end up buying new axle backs anyway?

Im looking for a deep sound not necessarily something loud. Im sure the LTs will take care of that...

What I have found so far:

You might want to call kooks and ask them what may work best with their headers. You wouldn't want to make such a large investment just to have something hurting power further down the line.

My whole plan for this spring is CAI and tune, 3.73 gears, and LTs OR Cams. Maybe I should do gears and cams this time and LTs next. I still have the stock mid pipe on though just incase I do decide to do LTs is this going to hurt performance with the cams until then?

Cams and longtubes will be really loud and you may find yourself trying to quiet it. So if it was me this is how I would approach your mods. In this order.

Cai and tune
4.10
Longtubes
Cams
And finally mufflers or resonators to fix the tone.

I installed FRPP HotRod cams and then about six months later installed Kooks LT with catted H pipe. I couldn't believe the difference after the LT's were installed. The driveability and acceleration improved 100%. Knowing what I know now I suggest you do the headers and H pipe first and then install the cams if you can't do both at the same time.

808 and D'prived thats kinda what how I was thinking of doing it. I just wasnt sure if that was completely the way I should go. And I think im going to stick with 3.73s for now.

Anyone have any suggestions on the mufflers posted? Im sure if I do either with the SLPs its going to sound nasty.... and not the good kind of nasty.
