Default What are the stock speaker specifications?

I was wondering if anyone knows what speakers come stock?

I've just been curious, since I'm finishing the install on my twin 1000watt subwoofers and dual 1000watt amps.

Thanks!

Also - I'm going to be upgrading the big door speakers soon. Any recommendations?

Thanks - again

JL Audio for the replacement door speakers.

Or the Shelby Kicker replacements.

Some info about the stock speakers

You might as well put a PAPerformance alternator on that 'to do' list as well...
You have to keep the bucket full to provide the
power for those amps you put in there...

Like most stock speakers they are not great, they don't handle high power well and pretty much suck if you change out your head unit to a nice after market one. Which door speakers are you looking to upgrade?

That alternator is now top priority.

I already have a sick head unit in - full touch screen.

I put infinity kappas in the door, kept the rest of the shaker stock. There were 6x8s stock in there but I didn't do the swap myself, same in the rear. Subs are 8" I believe.

All OEM. If I even tried to do a simple upgrade, it would
turn into a landslide. And then the Challenger would need
a sub and new door speakers. I was young, rich once and
did it all with JL hence the 157dB user name.
The old VW was just a transportation device for the
speakers and amps it housed.
