I broke my heart a little tonight. My husband bought a '11 rear emblem to try to put onto my car. I removed the old faux gas cap and all of the paint underneath came off with the 3M.
So if the rear emblem doesn't work out I'll be getting the CDC delete panel I guess... :/

That sucks Tanner! I kind of feel like a dick too because I just asked you if I could have the old emblem on facebook, lol

Haha its all good, Baker.
I'll see how this turns out and then I'll let you know.
Its in kind of rough shape, though.

Lem, yeah I don't think fishing line would have worked.
The paint stuck to the 3M was wet and extremely brittle.

Alrighty, Josh.

Started putting it back together today, before we had to head home for the week.
The wiring harness is back in and plugged all back in. The tailights and decklid are back on as well and I cleaned up the dash and door panels.

I really like the way the trunk looks now,

The replacement 3rd brake light is in

And I got some good news, I get to order a CS/GT500 rear bumper next week and hopefully get the duals and bumper painted sometime next month.

I know right??
I can't wait, I've been wanting to get one of those bumpers for the last year or so.
I think I'm going with a single inlet dual outlet single muffler, so possibly a Flowmaster.

Wow, looks like a ton of work just to strip the interior. Can't wait to see the pics when you are finished.

Tanner you are an S197 tekk hero. That spectrum looks ****ing awesome and y'all laid it down so smoothly! I used regular damplifier and double/tripled squares of it in some places, but I didn't get that complete coverage. That coveraaagggeee is too legit. I put down Luxury Liner Pro on the floors, doors, trunk floor, and behind the trunk subs. You are going to love the loss of wind noise lol. There is like none.. the only thing I can hear in the cabin now is the damn drone of my Borlas and damn roar of my KDW's.. both will probably be replaced in the future.

I love your love for this car.. can't wait to see it all finished. You're going to have the nicest DD mustang evarrr. You should bring it to alabama and I'll give the paint a nice compound!!
