Man that sux...at first glance it doesn't look that bad. After what you said about the engine being shifted it definately seems to be totaled.

Let us know what the insurance company does. Glad no one was hurt. I know your brother has to feel bad about it, but at the end of the day it's just a car and can be replaced.

The engine is shifted and the front part of it was crushed by the rear end of the tahoe. I will def let ya'll know the outcome from insurance.

Damn sorry to see.

To be honest, I saw the thread title and your name and thought it was your stang!

Sorry to hear about your car. As others have stated glad your brother was not hurt. Not too many cars can pull off the bright yellow but the Corvette is one of the few that can.

Sorry If I scared ya! If I ever wreck my stang I am just going to sit on the curb and cry for weeks. I'd rather the vette be hit any day than my mustang. Sucks to see either wrecked though.

The corvette was a beauty. Maybe in the end it will work out in our favor but who knows. Just glad everyone was ok when it happened that is the first thing to worry about.

That is a shame, beautiful car. LS2 or LS3? Glad everyone was okay!

How old is your brother? Anytime I see an accident like this, I think inexperienced driver.

I haven't rear ended anyone since 1990.

Now tell us what really happened. Were you in the car? I figure he was speeding like a demon, traffic slowed and he couldn't stop in time.

This is why insurance for sports cars is more expensive. Glad everyone is ok. I equate this to giving a loaded gun to someone who has never taken a firearms course.

Yep! I've seen it happen many times - both with guns (friend's brother accidentally got shot in the head with a ricochet bullet - he's fine), and cars (kid I know wrapped his fathers GT/CS around a tree while the parents weren't home)
