I know this isn't a mustang but this is the area I visit this area the most and a few in here know about the good deal we got on it. Last night it was totaled when my brother messed up on shifting looked down to fix it and within a half a second the car in front of him slammed on his breaks and my brother tried to stop but just had no time. He slammed into the back of a tahoe going 45mph the car went up underneath it.

Man that sucks. Hate to point out the obvious but this is why nobody drives my car. Is insurance gonna cover it?

The insurance SHOULD cover it yes..there were 2 other cars involved. When my brother wrecked into the tahoe it got pushed up on a toyota in front of it.
The insurance we have is great(state farm). The pictures don't do the damage justice. The engine was pushed back half a foot along with everything else broken the interior is f'ed. The radio won't even turn on.

Damn! that was a pretty car. You don't think it can be salvaged? or you just want to wash your hands of it.

The whole engine is screwed so the whole thing would have the be replaced. We'd rather not have a salvage title on the car. Most likely the damage will exceed 75% of what the car is worth.

Honestly I would take the block and mount a piece of glass over it - make it into a coffee table.

I love functional car art.

That would be good but the insurance wouldn't let us take it. We are planning on getting another.

Sorry to hear, it always sucks big time to lose a nice car!
How is your brother doing? He must really feel bad.
Your insurance might give you a little problem if your brother wasn't listed as a driver on the policy, but in the end they should cover the damages. Been there, done that.....

My brother is fine just a little sore from the airbag and seatbelt. He was listed as a driver on the policy just not a primary on the car.
