Daily Driver Questions?

Depends on how many miles you commute to/from work every day. I would say if you commute less than 30 miles a day, get the GT.
If you drive farther than that, you may want to consider a V6 as gas prices will continue to go up (as long as speculators control the oil prices). But if you do get a V6, don't start modding it with lower gears and other high performance parts as you will decrease your mileage to GT levels and still only have a V6. JMO.

Ok, gas mileage is not a big deal, about a 20 mile commute. I liked the v6 0-60, it really suprised me how fast it was. But, as someone else mentioned, the passing power is weak. That is what i like a lot in a car, the get up from 40 to 80. I think I'm going to set my sights on a 5.0 then, if only they used it in 2010...

I know you said you'd get a v6 and boost it because it's the same price as a 2010 GT...my question is, why don't you get a 4.6 and boost it? It's not like it's some crappy engine, it's fantastic really. Sure the 5.0 is the new technology and is faster out of the box, but there's nothing wrong with the 4.6.
That is if you're really set on boosting. You said you mpg doesn't matter much, but for what it's worth on highway trips I get about 29, 22 driving around town.

The reason i wouldn't boost a 4.6L is because i'm already paying $25 grand for a 2010, i wouldn't have enough money left to boost it. I just liked how in a 5.0 when i'm going 40 and i step on the gas, it leaps forward and accelerates quickly. I just didn't get that same quickness from the v6 i drove, there was some lag and less acceleration

Just stop arguing, Get the V8 you will be much happier trust me. I didnt have a choice, my car was a gift so I thrilled with the V6 but when I get the cash, I dropping in a 4.6 and throwing mods at it.
