Question Question Relate 2012 GT Convertible

Hey everyone. Since the weather's been very nice in VA and will get even better as we approach summer. I'm thinking of getting a 2012 GT Convertible rather than a coupe

So...What are the major differences between coupe and convertible? I'm really concerned about the performance, is it going to suffer a lot? How much more wind noise when driving in highway? And generally how is the convertible version of 2012 Mustang?

Thanks a lot!!

I love mine. Performance is great. Wind noise is not significant. I've had it for nearly a year now and no complaints. It's actually as quiet on the interstate as my last sedan. On these early spring days, it's been nice to leave the office and put the top down for the drive home. Puts a whole new perspective on your day.

Thanks! Have you ever drive a coupe? I don't expect it to be as quiet but I'm fine with it as long as the noise is in acceptable range.

I know that the convertible version is 500 lbs heavier than the coupe. Does the extra weight change the handling characteristics of it?

I didn't think it was that much heavier. Road and Track did an article and as I recall they didn't find any significant performance penalty.

About the only real difference is the top goes down on one of them.
