If you decide on Borla Stingers, I've got a set for sale. They came off my son's 2010 GT. He had them on for about a year. I'm asking $275 plus shipping. Shoot me a pm if you're interested.

old school exhaust sound is going to be pretty near to impossible with these 3V modular motors and the mufflers after the axle.
it just wont sound the same as the old pushrod motors, or the 2V with the midmounted mufflers.
what worked on previous years will not work on the S197.

when choosing an exhaust, you must consider the entire exhaust as a unit:
headers, midpipe, and cat/axle backs.
change 1 of these components and you change the entire sound.

I have heard alot of just the cat backs or muffler deletes on stock headers/cats. I liked the Roush extreme the best.
But if you plan on doing headers or off road x-pipe/h-pipe later on you might want to consder that now. Or you will be doing like most and buying more than one system til you find one you like.

I have the Roush Extreme and it sounded great til I installed the JBA LT's with O/R H-Pipe. Trumpets bad when you get into it. I just removed the axel backs of the Roush extreme and added some 2010 GT500 stock mufflers. I still need to get the JBA catted H-pipe to get rid of the gas smell and slight trumpeting.

I've got the FRPP stingers on my '09, & I absolutely love them. I'm pretty sure they're the same as the Borla ones my son had on his '10. They look & sound identical.

JBA shorty headers and Borla(non stinger) rear solution exhaust. Beautiful sound. Erik
