Default car dying when taking off

Ok well over the weekend I slammed my car into a ditch and a mail box. screwed up the fender and drivers door. well now the car when i take off in first is starts fine then just cuts out like it is dying. then starts working fine. anyone have any ideas? Im going to say something to the ins. to see if they can fix it.

I've read others having issues with their car cutting out due to the ground wire becoming loose. Maybe the accident loosened the bolt? Open the hood and check.
Also, issues with the CAI or fuel filter/fuel system will cause a car to die.

Also, maybe have your battery and alternator checked out. If the alternator can't hold a charge, it will crap out too.

well they took the car today. I told them about it and if they can find the problem and its part of the accident they will fix it.

Yeah you probably just knocked some sort of connection loose. Insurance should cover it.
