I personally have never driven in an AutoX, but I have ridden as a passenger in a 944 Porshe. The driver was not very experienced cornering around the cones and we did several 180's around the turns, and I still had an absolute blast!! One of the fastest cars in the event was a little miata, driven by a women!! =-)
Have fun bro!

look ahead 1-2 turns beyond the one you're in; Check your tire pressures, tighten up the lugs for safety, walk the course a few times when the walking begins - and have fun!

Thanks for all the advice so far guys. Any suggestions on where my tire pressure should be? I've heard 35-38?

Have fun Baker! Never tried it (yet)! You will probably learn a lot 1st time out, keep us up to date! I plan on making the Shelby Mid Ameerica event in June and try out some a couple of things I haven't done yet! Be careful and good luck!

Yes...LCAs, UCA, Steeda Sports, Koni Yellows, HD mounts...I'm a little worried about the LCAs due to 14.8.H.5. of the SCCA rules. We shall see.

14.8.B. Suspension bushings may be replaced with bushings of any materials
(except metal) as long as they fit in the original location. Offset
bushings may be used. In a replacement bushing the amount
of metal relative to the amount of nonmetallic material may not be
increased. This does not authorize a change in type of bushing (for
example ball and socket replacing a cylindrical bushing), or use of
a bushing with an angled hole whose direction differs from that of
the original bushing. If the Stock bushing accommodated multi-axis
motion via compliance of the component material(s), the replacement
bushing may not be changed to accommodate such motion
via a change in bushing type, for example to a spherical bearing or
similar component involving internal moving parts. Pins or keys may
be used to prevent the rotation of alternate bushings, but may serve
no other purpose than that of retaining the bushing in the desired
position.

14.8.H.5. The lower arms may not be altered, except as permitted under
14.8.B, or relocated. Methods of attachment and attachment
points are unrestricted, but may serve no other purpose (e.g.
chassis stiffening). This does not authorize removal of a weldedon
part of a subframe to accommodate the installation.

I think you will be fine..

Idk if you have happened to watch any videos of AutoX runs but here's one with a good example. First run he misses a corner probably because he wasn't looking ahead and does much better the second run. I think they all have the white lines drawn along with cones. Watch the line, seems to be the way to go. Regardless have fun Baker! It looks really fun I'll have to do it someday!
