Ford Mustang's new European look: A big mistake?

Truthfully, it doesn't matter to me if the new body style sucks or not. I've got mine, and if I didn't, I'd pick up a '13. My next "fun car" is a 1990 Nissan R32 GTR (like the one I used to have in Japan) and then after that, finances available, I'll build an AC Cobra replica. Scarlette is my Fun DD car, so I'll have her for quite a while.

Don't know if anyone tried posting this or not but apparently this is how it is supposed to look.
I will keep my Stang and boast it proudly if they do this car in 2014. The respect for Mustang will go way down. They better not even put the Mustang name to this thing; be better off naming it something totally new.

What gen are we on now for the 2013's? Considered 5th still? Even with the revamps in the S197 model years?

The last pic is the Ford EVOS concept. The one above it is a shoddily edited version someone did to slap a pony on the grill. Neither of them are actual Mustang concepts.
Some of the styling may be mildly representative of some of what we'll see on the next generation, but don't expect either of those to be production vehicles. We'll be keeping the long hood, short deck look. The grill will be more like the current ford designs, but the Stang is keeping her round headlights. So don't expect them to be melting into the body like everything else on the road.
I expect it will still be uniquely Mustang, but a definite departure from where we're sitting right now.

The retro thing has definitely run its course. It's time for something all new, but it still needs a muscular-looking "coupe" roof and trunk setup.. with some subtle hips. The whole bubbly roof/hatchback vagina looking **** isn't going to cut it.
I do like the aston-ish front end though.. Maybe exaggerate some lines to give it an even meaner look. The tail lights need to somehow remain the iconic 3 vertical bars. Lose some weight, shed some size and I'll probably buy one in the future to park next to my S197.. as long as it maintains it's masculine look and powertrain.
