Default Trans fluid change question... The filter

Is there a filter to change out when changing the trans fluid in the car? And is there a dipstick to check it?

Are you talking the automatic? If so, yes there is a filter and no there is no dipstick. You will need an adapter to fill the pan.

Looking up your profile, I see you have a manual trans. No Filter, just a bottom Drain Plug. To refill it is tricky. You need a small pump, or a tube connected to a bottle to fill the case with fluid, because the Fill Plug is fairly high up on the side of the trans.
