thanks for the comments. never really had mine over 130 & that was by accident. this is houston & usually wall to wall cars - so my habits don't take me up to those speeds. i was curious after reading the 100's of mustang vs camaro threads and trying to understand better the differences between the two engines. Ford having the coyote for a couple of years or so now & chevy having their LS series (push-rod). when i got my 5.0 in dec '11 - i was torn between ford & chevy - but went mustang and haven't looked back yet. heck, mine is geared for gas mileage w/ 331 rear end.... but, plenty power for me. appreciate the insite guys. thanks
Keep in mind that because of the new transmission, your 3.31 is equivalent I believe to around a 3.90 in the 05-10 models so the gearing isn't really too low overall.
