Current prices for '11 GT Premium?
My first post here, no offense but never thought I'd be considering a car so popular. Test drove it yesterday, needless to say very impressed, especially with the interior. Hopefully, I can get the same great help I've always managed to get from car forums, especially now in my time of greatest need .
1) I'm coming from an '05 stock ls2 gto. How much would I be able to talk dealers down to for a premium '11 M6 GT? Considering it has less than say 35k miles on it. Also, I have $10k cash to put down as incentive.
At this time, I can get a $22000 '05 GTO with only 27k miles, supercharged, headers, new wheels/tires, two sets of stock rims, stereo head unit, rearview mirror, radar detector. Trying to get it as close to that a possible. The GTO would look something like this (http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371208).
2) How much would it cost to get me to 425-450 rwhp (not the most expensive headers, plus tune and whatever else)?
3) Not so familiar with non-LSx engines, but after searching a bit I'm wondering: Can the engine support a mild/decent maggie without any other mods?

The 2011 GT has 415 bhp stock, so to get to 425 rwhp wouldn't take all that much. Dealers, however, won't step too hard off the asking price of these cars. They know people want them and they know they will pay for them. They won't "take a deal" most of the time cause there isn't a deal to take. If you don't pay the next smuck in will.

The 2011 has 412hp at the crank (last time I checked). Accounting for a 15% drivetrain loss, you're looking at 350rwhp. A tune, CAI, and Boss intake will set you back about $1200 and net you about 60rwhp according to Americanmuscle.com but you'll lose some mid-range power. That'll get you to 410rwhp. Now you're looking at 15hp to get to your lower power requirements. I'd think installing an aftermarket driveshaft and cat-back exhaust with long tubes would get you there. If not, loping cams definitely will.
I'd assume that you could find a good deal, but on a premium, you won't be touching that $22k mark. Perhaps in a base model with 50k miles you might be able to, but I think even that would really be pushing it and require a seller who is really looking to get rid of it.

You might find one for mid 20s. You would just have to keep an eye open and search the web. Just from a quick search in my area the lowest premium I could find was with 20k miles at $27k. The time of the year will also make the prices stay on the high end. The selling pitch of "its summer and time for a HOT HOT HOT ride" (not kidding I really just read it) is going to be thrown out there a lot. Good luck.

I know some rebates have changed in the last 3 weeks and that inventories of the 2012's are starting to dwindle, but I bought my car 2 weeks ago and it's a brand spanking new 2012 GT Premium for $28k before my trade in... That was $7k off MSRP. I think that there would have to be better deals for a 2011 than $27k. Just my 2cents.

Bought my 2011 GT Premium 6-speed for 29k used. That was 15 months ago and the car had 1300 miles on it. Surely, you can get a low mileage one for 25-26k, or better, now that the 2013's are out.
