exactly mine was terrible now they look new. I took a wire brush attachment on my powere drill to them got all the rust off of them spayed them down with degreaser then a hose waited till they dried and painted them. I realize its not a permanent fix they will rust again but when they do Ill just paint them again. its easy to do and they look great. I 'll probably just make it part of my yearly routine and touch them up every spring when I put my summer wheels on.

I got the idea from another member I was stunned by his results and my rotors looked as bad as his did before so I thought why not what can it hurt. check out his thread from a few months ago.

One would wish that we didn't have to look at rusty brake rotors. I'm probably never going to paint my rotors. Instead I'll just keep dreaming about these.

I purchased rotors that are zinc coated. The rotor face naturally wears the zinc off rather quickly due to braking, but the rest of the rotor stays nice and black (I chose the black zinc color, but there are many). On my last Mustang I did the same thing and the rotors looked like brand new after 5 years. No more rust on my rotors.

Calipers are a different story...I plan to paint mine soon. They seem to last quite a long time and still look good IMO. Nice job for an afternoon...unless you need to mow the grass. lol

Just kidding...Nice job!

My rotors were starting to rust. Drove me nuts. There's only two bolts that hold on the calipers, and two bolts that hold on the bracket.. then everything just comes apart... much easier than doing it on the car..

I used Rustoleum Hammertone.... dark grey for the rotor and black for the calipers... It's holding up very well..
