I have an 06 as well. Some believe from a lot of high HP and dyno sessions that the 05's and 06's had more robust internals and did not break nearly as often as the 07's, 08's and 09's. This was varified by many shops on this forum a few years back.

Since you have an 06' as I do, I finally settled on 10 psi since I don't drag race, and it's controllable power coming into and out of turns, and launching when feathering 1st gear properly. On basically stock exhaust I've been at 376rhhp@4 psi, 415rwhp@8psi, 507rwhp@14.5psi, 475rwhp@12 psi, and now 454rwhp@10psi, all tunes basically at 16 ignition timing on my Saleen series VI.

No problems so far. Knock, knock!.......on wood......... Erik

I have an 06 and I'm pushing 10.5 psi on my with out issues but then again I don't drive my car like a moron either. If you take care of you car it will take care of you and let you run big power without much trouble. I ended up putting down 498RWHP on my auto trans at that psi and that was before we even tried to lean out the AF level. So I was hitting those numbers with an AF of 10.5 which is crazy. In the end we ended up taking out 3 degrees of timing to make it a little safer which took me down to 475RWHP range. But it was really nice knowing that my car could hit over 500RWHP with just leaning out the AF. But I will wait till I have the funds to buy a stroked 302 short block and then punch it up into the 600+ range

You got a good combo working for you. Not everybody else running 500HP can say the same.

For me, over the last 4 years, I've been running stock internals with
11 psi, great tune, 94 octane, about 14 degrees timing, shifting at 6500, etc. etc. And, All is well so far !!

Cutterwolf, what supercharger do you have?

500rwhp @10.5psi sounds like a centrifugal supercharger to me. On a twin screw with responsible timing you'd need to be on 12psi with very open exhaust to see 500rwhp with a 12.0 air/fuel ratio.
