Cruise control acting strange

Cruise control acting strange
Well, my cruise control is acting strange (06 GT manual). Few days ago, on the way to school, it refused to go on at any speed. On the way home, it would work, but I had to press the ON button really hard.
Today, it wouldn't engage about 40, but once I got it on at 40, I could go up above 40, turn it off, keep going the same speed (still over 40) and turn it on again.
Ideas?
