2015 Mustang?

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...d-mustang.html

I prefer the 2005-2014 styling :)

Well...I could see it growing on me, but I'm disappointed.

It looks like a fusion front half connected to a...I don't know what back end.

As much as I'm trying to tell myself to like it, I don't. If weight is way down though and it still has a 5.0 in it, that thing is going to be insane fast.

dennisafrompa 05-08-2012 07:06 AM

It jibes with other predictions. Based on what the new Fusion and Taurus look, I 'd say this is probably close to reality. Ford seems to be going for a Brand Look.

robs 05-08-2012 07:13 AM

It's ok.. the nose looks a bit too much like a mitsubishi evo.. but ok

BKamp613 05-08-2012 07:29 AM

While production cars hardly ever end up looking like the original concept, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

It's cool and futuristic, but it doesn't scream "Mustang" to me.

majik755 05-08-2012 07:39 AM

Looks like a nice sports car, but should be a new branded model not a Mustang. Doesn't hold true to the heritage.

Diabolical! 05-08-2012 07:41 AM

Every magazine will have a different horrible photochop of what they "expect" the mustang to look like until ford releases an actual concept vehicle. I expect that it will look nothing like any of the magazines' predictions, so I will hold judgement until something worthy of judgement comes along. This happens every time a new model comes along. I'm surprised no one has posted a picture of that horrible Italian concept from a few years ago with "OMG NEW MUSTANG!!!" as the thread title. That sucker pops up every new model year...

03gt04mach1 05-08-2012 08:11 AM

Rear end too fat and buldge-ee looking from the side. Also, too generic, and import looking. It still NEEDS that distinct Mustang look, not the subaru-ish one. I hope it's just the photos, and that the looks are LOT better in real life. I hope I hope I hope....I can't hold on to my '03 GT forever....Or can I?

jdmcbride 05-08-2012 08:14 AM

At least the tail lights on that concept look great!

99gtstang 05-08-2012 08:23 AM

Looks like an Acura :(

ZPounds07GT 05-08-2012 08:25 AM

The front looks God awful IMO, but the rear looks amazing. The front and side, back to the hips look like they are on the wrong car. From the hips back it looks like it could (and I use the term lightly) look like a Mustang.

Lighter with a 5.0, that thing will scream!

You're right about the tail lights. The lenses have even a PONY TAIL flair to them. That does speak Mustang at least. But, that front end needs that unique PONY look also. Mustang NEVER shared a front end with any other model. But, looks like it will now for the first time. I'm not keen with that.

05xrunner 05-08-2012 08:30 AM

i like the rear..reminds me a bit of a DB9

bones302 05-08-2012 09:00 AM

looks like a jaguar.

Young_Gun 05-08-2012 09:31 AM

Well, 2016 is when I'll be looking to buy my next Mustang, and it won't be this. I'll probably just go for a 12/13 Cobra.

I personally see only small hints of the Giugiaro concept in the 05-09 models, mostly the roof line, the wheel arches and the back profile but quite a bit is different.

I like this version of the Evo's concept car, I just wish that it didn't have to have the same front end as a Fusion. I understand the desire to do better with wind resistance and all that but come on. Your halo performance car shouldn't look even remotely close to a 4 door passenger car especially not since the Mustang has always had a pretty distinct front end compared to other cars (bar the Mustang II generation :P). And I really wish magazines would STOP calling it the Mustang III as that is just setting it up for failure.

Diabolical! 05-08-2012 09:47 AM

Really folks, I can 100% guarantee that the next mustang won't look anything like this.

05xrunner 05-08-2012 09:48 AM

its a good thing they changed that concept up for the 05-09 cause that concept looks like it pooped it pants.

Nope. That horrible concept was built in 2006, long after the S197s were out and on the road. The concept for the 2005 mustang GT actually looked surprisingly similar to the production model. The only real difference I can remember is split round fog lights on the lower corners of the concept and no fogs in the grill. The problem right now is that Ford has not yet built a 2015 concept (or if they have, it's still under wraps), so magazines are photochopping concepts instead.

mdg 05-08-2012 09:52 AM

looks like a Nissan Z, don't like it at all!
