OOPS! I posted the 11/12 V6 fuel economy by mistake after a quick google search. ::FIXED::

Precisely.

i qouted a "decked out" 13 on the ford website, with every available package it came out on 33k, and 08 should be somewhere around 15-18k unless its shelby or something, i insist, 11-12GT you'll get the best of both worlds

Well I am likely the oddball of the bunch, but I just traded in my 09 GT Premium for a 13 V6 Premium. 16mpg average was starting to become painful, and since my GT was an auto, I just didnt get any real joy of driving it anymore. Not to mention that I was starting to get bored with her.

The 6 on the other hand really suprised the hell out of me when I drove it. quick, responsive, and when going through the gears you def felt that she wanted to run. But since it has been less then 12h since I made the switch, I am having some major attachment issues with letting my 09 go. On the other hand, the 13 sure has a nice interior....and I am sure that once some decent aftermarket parts hit the market, I will make her "mine".

I don't know about you, but a sick older Stang stands out more to me than a shiny new one (even though I have a '10). Except for maybe the '13 GT500.

'08 Bullitt and '04 Supercharged GT down the road from me and I drool everytime. Go with an '08 GT and go ***** out.

I made this same decision 3 months ago - only with a 12 v6 versus 08 GT. I really liked the v6, but I also test drove the GT. Once I turned out of the dealership and hit the gas the first time - it was over, GT all the way.

Can you explain the visual difference between a shiny new 2013 mustang and the '13 gt500 other than perhaps stripes and text because I can't seem to find a difference?

edit: i just compared as closely as I could and all I can see is the gt500 has a slightly larger rear deck spoiler and the grill is a bit different. Anything else? Also the 08 GT has less hp than the 13 v6.

The GT500 badge and the knowledge of what it entails has a lot to do with it. Also, I'm pretty sure the 4.6 will respond to mods better than the 3.7, don't quote me on that.

However, one thing that absolutely cannot be beat: Put on an exhaust for the v6 vs the v8.

Standing out doesn't always have to do with looks...

But, if you want to go there...open the hood of a '13 GT500 and a '13 V6, then tell me you can't spot the visual difference.

Horsepower isn't everything... check out the torque difference.

Drive both and get back to us...
