Performance White Mustangs- Color Change?
Has anyone with a Performance White Mustang noticed if bumper covers have a slightly yellow tint compared to the rest of the paint? I only have 3000 miles on my 2012 and when I wash it, to my eye, the bumper covers look slightly yellow compared to the metal painted body panels.

This is a complaint with almost every car, and varies with colors. White cars are common to have the yellow tint on the bumpers. If I remember correctly it has to do with the material, paint used, and lighting.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I had a feeling it was due to the different base materials, primers etc. I looked at a Chevy Cruz in the parking lot and it had the same slight difference in color, a Camry was closer to matching.

I have noticed this on my 2012 as well. Only seems to show in certain lights. I never notice it in full sun or even on cloudy days. But if i take it to the car wash for its weekly spray down in between my normal hand washes I see in with the fluorescent lights.

Lighting, shadows, etc. can make a difference as to how your eye perceives a color. I have found that the best way to check for a color match on the bumpers is not to look at them from front or back, but to look at the sides where the bumpers meet the fenders.
