Watch the dyno vid here: 2013 GT500 Underrated?

The guys Mustang and Super Fords magazine got their hands on the new GT500 and were able get it to a dyno machine. Surprisingly, the car managed to 609 horsepower at the wheels. Officially, Ford rated the car at 662 crank horsepower, but it's probably a lot more than that if the dyno is correct. Convinced? Check out the video above.

Soooo much depends upon how the dyno has been calibrated and what type of dyno it is. You can really make them read whatever you want to read. I'd like to see a collection of dyno readings from various dynos to really get an idea of how much power this thing is putting out.

Motor Trend just finished their Road test. 0-60 in 3.5, 1/4 mile in 11.6 on the stock tires.............ftw!
