Default Anyone Running Factory Gun-Metal Bullitt Wheels? - * Updated Installed Wheels

I'm getting ready to purchase a set of factory 18" wheels/tires from a 2008 Bullitt. Anybody install Bullitt take-offs on their S197?

Just curious to how they will look on non-Bullitt cars. My Redfire convertible with tan top may not be the best color combo for them, but I'm will be replacing my old tired top with a new black one in the future, it should match pretty well.

Well, I'll pretty much reply to my own post

I went by to see the rims today, and I think they will look great on my car. I just put one of the wheels in front of my wheel to get an idea to what they will look like ...

looks good and i assume you like it, thats all that really counts.
i would see that as a nice upgrade if you had 17s or 16s to begin with.

what i don't quite get is that it looks like you had the polished 18s, that impo is a dowgrade now, looks rather dull in the overall appearence, just mpo.

I just couldn't stand the polished wheels, for some reason it could be the massive 22" chromed wheels I see on every other Expedition that has soured my taste for chrome/polished wheels.

My car is practically burgundy (redfire), tan top, and polished wheels was just too girly looking. After the gunmetal Bullitts, I'm going with a black top and some other bits to make the car just right for me.

What I like about the OEM Bullitts is that they are limited edition, sleek gunmetal, practical 18" size for my 60 mile daily commute, the tires aren't that expensive, and they fit the look of my generation of S197.

What actually surprised me was how hard it was to offload my polished Bullitts, I expected more calls from V6 S197s and 17" clad GTs, but not a single S197 owner responded to my Craigslist add, it was all SN95 owners.

Here's a pic of the buyers car with my polished Bullitts, looks better than it did on mine!

never though of these wheels on a sn95, they DO look great on them.

hmm, now i'm wondering if there is a hidden (to me) market for my 17" bullits

Could be Just saw another SN95 with the "fake center spinner" wheel, I think those are 16s?

He did need 5/16ths wheels spacer to clear the front brake calipers to fit those 18" Bullitts.
