Default How to order a 2013 Mustang from dealer?

I have seen many members indicate that they have ordered a car from the dealer buit to their specifications. I have never done this before but am considering it for a 2013 GT.

Can someone please explain how it works? Do you just go in and sit with a salesman, configure your car and they order it? What pricing is in effect?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but just want to get some input before I even try.

Thanks!

That's about it. They will try to get you to order one off the lot, but just make sure you know what you want.

To that end...http://www.showroom.ford.com/FDShowr...nsition=config
Once you've done all the options, it will try to get you to submit it to a dealer, just cancel out when done.

How much longer do I have left to order a 2013?

On a side note: What is the best way to do a broad regional search for a 2012 Mustang GT Premium (i.e Southeast US). If I can find a 2012 with all I want I would go that route. Have only been able to search local dealers so far...

Thanks to All for Help!!!!!!!

I believe you can search through the Ford website. I just got zip codes from major cities in different areas and put that in my search. Sitting down with a salesmen he can search for one that's close or order you one from the factory. I'm too impatient so I just found one close.

Anyone know how long the ordering process for a new custom 2013 from Ford is possible? Thank you.

Walk into a dealer, go up to a representative, say you want to custom order a 2013 Ford Mustang. He'll guide you from there.

All you really have to do is just show up with money. Worked for me

Be ready for them to push "add ons" like extended warranty, "Protection Packages" like Scotchguard, paint sealant and the like. Use your own good sense, but I say a big NO to these.

Hey rogan01,

Great choice!

There is plenty of time to place that order. So, go on in and speak to the local Ford rep about all available options you desire on your baby. Once the order is placed, the process may take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. However, your dealer will provide the most accurate delivery information.

If you like, I can search for a Mustang close to your vicinity. Shoot me a PM with a list of features and options.

So excited for you; happy shopping!
