Default Where to find replacement part...

I can't post in the Wanted section, and I haven't had much luck locating the part so I thought I'd ask here. I'd like to at least find part numbers before I drop by the dealer.

I'm looking to find the dome/map light assembly for an 05-09 Mustang. I made the mistake of putting silverstar bulbs in there and after I checked to make sure everything was ok I realized it was melting the inside. I figured I'd just replace it to be safe because it looked pretty bad. I hate not having any light in the car at all at night!

Thanks for any help or links. Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I figured somebody could help me here.

Salvage yard. Dealership is where I would go to get the part number, but not to buy... Also there is an Ebay seller named Green leaf prime and they sell take off parts like that all the time... Check their store. Good luck.

Thanks! I'll check them out. I know of one place around here I might be able to call. I've checked the inventory on a couple local salvage yards but around here there is never a Mustang over about 1999 or 2000. They just don't make it there for some reason.

Try Tousley in MN as they have some of the best OEM part pricing. If nothing else, they can give a worst case price for a new part.

you should have no problems buying that from a salvage yard. you can look at fleabay to find anyone that is selling any 05-09 mustang parts and you can call them.

What everyone else said. Also, get LEDs next time...brighter & cooler (temp & look).

DiodeDynamics is where I get all my LEDs and stuff...
